In February, Utah Conservation Officer TJ Robertson found a doe antelope that had been shot and left to waste in Westwater Creek, situated near the Colorado border. The doe was laying in the creek bed about one-quarter mile south of the Tri-Canyon Ranch near the mouth of Hay and East Canyons. The doe appeared to have been shot in the head and the meat left to waste.
Conservation officers are looking for any information leading to the conviction of the party/parties responsible for such disregard of life and Utah's wildlife. If you have information regarding this case, please contact Conservation Officer TJ Robertson at 820-6015 or Utah's "Turn In a Poacher" hotline at 800-337-DEER. Rewards are available, and anonymity is guaranteed.
