Emergency personnel assist at the scene of an April 2 accident on Utah State Road 10. The mid-morning collision on Wednesday between a tractor-trailer and a dump truck resulted in the vehicles bursting into flames and one driver being trapped in the cab, according to an information officer with the Utah Highway Patrol. Savage Coal driver Arsenio Velasquez was apparently traveling southbound on SR-10 when Eph Henrie employee Darwin Hunt attempted to turn left off of SR-122, according to Trooper Todd Johnson from UHP's Salt Lake headquarters. Johnson indicated that Velasquez reportedly hit the dump truck and both vehicles ended up in the northbound lanes. Velasqeuz was extricated from the burning vehicle with severe burns and has been flown to University of Utah Hospital. Hunt purportedly suffered from moderate injuries and was treated at Castleview Hospital.
