Editor:

The old companies and the new are in Carbon county's future.

The Lila Canyon Mine is moving ahead very well and when it is in full operation and the 200 plus jobs are in place it will be great. Murray Energy, who will be operating the mine, will be successful and stable. Jay Marshall, who has been working very hard with federal, state and Emery County officials to get the mine open has been an asset to the area.

In addition the Sorenson Company has just opened its operations in Price and they plan to continue to build here. It is also a good company with a strong future.
