A full-size van lies to the south of U.S. Highway 6 following a single vehicle accident Dec. 19. According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. David Bennion, the driver of the Chevy Van purportedly lost control on the icy roads while traveling westbound at high speeds. All five occupants were transported to Castleview Hospital, where two were later airlifted to Utah Valley. One passenger was reportedly ejected from the vehicle. The other seatbelted occupants remained inside the van. Bennion cautioned Carbon County motorists to slow down during inclement weather.
