Three members of the Castle Valley Barracudas participated in a swim meet in Delta on July 18. This was the first meet for Davey, Chrissy, and Matthew Cox.

Matthew, the youngest of the three at eight, took first place in the boys seven to eight year old 25 meter freestyle, 25 meter backstroke, and 25 meter breaststroke.

The only girl participating for the Barracudas was Chrissy. At age 10, she took second place in the girls nine to 10 year old 25 meter freestyle, 25 meter backstroke, and 25 meter breaststroke. She missed first place in the 25 meter backstroke by .15 seconds.

With the toughest competition of the group in the boys 11-12 year old division, Davey at age 12 took first place in the 50 meter freestyle, second in the 50 meter backstroke, and third in the 50 meter breaststroke.

Although small in numbers by camparison, the Barracudas did well in the team standings. Delta had approximately 30 swimmers scoring 424 points, Snow with 13 participants scored 63 points, and the Barracudas scored 50 points.
