Carbon competes in Delta regional

Patricia Smith continues to be Carbon's strongest overall runner.

The Carbon Dinos traveled to Delta Oct. 3 to race in the regional tournament. This preseason race is used to familiarize all participants with the course for the region meet.

Carbon raced well with the six teams that attended from region eight.

For the boys Andrew Bates and Kent Olsen medaled for Carbon. Olsen was 14th and Bates came in the 24th position.

In the girls cross country race Patricia Smith placed sixth overall and took fifth among region eight competitors.

The region meet was ran at Delta on Oct. 10 and all results from the competion will be in next week's report for Carbon High Cross County running.
