Marjorie Gibboney
Marjorie Gibboney will celebrate her 80th birthday on Oct. 13 with family and friends.
Marge was born Oct. 18, 1929 and has been a longtime resident of Carbon County. She was a crossing guard for many years.
She has five children, Robert (Shirley) Rudman, Roney (Jan) Rudman, Richard (Lynn) Rudman, Diana (Tom) Richardson, and Debbie (Jim) Worley. She has 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Dorr Hanson
Dorr Williams Hanson Sr. will be honored by his family Oct. 13 for his 90th birthday.
He was born Oct. 19, 1911 in Ferron to Harold and Ruby Williams Hanson. He mrried Mary Elizabeth Mathis on Dec. 18, 1938. They have seven children, 38 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Dorr was involved in the Emery County special service district for 27 years. He is the oldest member of the Huntington Glee Club, singing with the group for 37 years. The Silver Beaver was awarded to him in 1990 for his work in scouting.
