The Helper Western Mining and Railroad Museum will open three new exhibits on Oct. 6.

The displays highlight the great bands of Carbon County, 100 years of Kenilworth and an international Lions Club pin collection.

The designers will conduct tours of the exhibits from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

In addition, museum director and local author SueAnn Martell will host a book signing for Rails Around Helper. Martell's book features railroad and branch line photos from 1880 through 1960.

For additional information regarding the free events, residents may contact the Helper museum at 472-3009.
