The Carbon High golf team finished in first place once again and increased their overall lead to 92 shots over second place Delta as they shot a team score of 315 on Thursday. The match was held at Delta's home course and was a great victory for the team. The team leaders were Shayne Burke with a 74, Jordan Pinedo with a 78, Justin Child shot an 80 and Geoff Vogel finished with an 83. Shayne's 74 earned him the individual medalist for the match which means he shot the best score of the day. Jordan's 78 was good enough for 3rd place overall for the day.

The team is now preparing for the state tournament which will take place on October 3rd and 4th. The team's next match will be on Thursday, September 20th, at Gladstan Golf Course in Payson. The regular season will end on Thursday, September 27th when all the teams in the region will meet at Millsite Golf Course, Emery's home course.
