Greek Festival - The cultural event is scheduled July 13 and July 14 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, located at 61 South 200 East in Price.

Greek dancers will perform Friday and Saturday. A dance is planned Friday on the church patio, with music provided by the Chris Dokos Band.

Additional features include authentic Greek food and pastries, coffee and gift shops, prize drawings, games for children and church tours.

The admission-free event is open to the public.

Sunnyside Rodeo - Performances are slated July 13 and July 14 at the Sunnyside arena. For information, contact Linda Andrews at 888-9923.

Wellington Pioneer Days - The celebration will be presented July 20 and July 21 in Wellington.

Dinner and live entertainment are planned Friday, with the parade scheduled Saturday at 10 a.m. Parade entry deadline is July 16.

Additional features of the community celebration include activities for children, a bean bag toss, three on three basketball and vendor booths.

For information, residents may call Wellington City Hall at 637-5213.

Residents may also contact committee members Debbie Bradley, Janet O'Berto and Marvon Willson.

Wellington Pioneer Pageant - The admission-free event is slated July 14 at 6 p.m. at the Wellington City Hall auditorium.

International Days - The event is planned July 26, July 27 and July 28 in Price.

The schedule includes:

Opening ceremonies and a wave pool party on Thursday.

Booths, entertainment, recreation activities and free movies at Pioneer Park on Friday.

Lions breakfast, pet contest, entertainment, booths, recreation activities and free movies at Pioneer Park on Saturday.

Booth space is limited. For rental information, vendors should contact the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce at 637-2788.

NBHA races -are scheduled at Carbon County Fairgrounds on Aug. 7, Aug. 28, Sept. 4 and Sept. 18.

District finals are Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Carbon fairgrounds. Dress code applies.

Events slated at Castle Dale arena include July 17, 7 p.m.; July 31, 7 p.m., dress code applies; Aug. 14, 7 p.m.; and Sept. 11, 7 p.m.

Fees are required to participate in the racing events.

Carbon County Fair - Vendors interested in participating in the community event, scheduled Aug. 10 and Aug. 11, may contact Mae Aguayo at 637-3671 for rental fee information and applications.


Veterans employment representative - is available Monday through Friday at the department of workforce services, 475 West Price River Drive. The representative will answer questions about benefits and assist with applications, employment and veterans issues. Contact Steve Wilkinson at 636-2343.

Marine Corps League - meets the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Price American Legion Hall, 27 North 100 West. For membership information, contact David Brewer at 472-8757.

Helper American Legion Auxiliary - meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. For information, contact Pat Scherschel at 472-8203.

VFW - Post hours are Monday - Saturday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Meetings are the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Games are on Sunday at 1 p.m. For information, call the post at 637-7424.

Price American Legion Post 3 - meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 27 North 100 West.

American Legion Auxiliary - meets the third Tuesday of the month. For information, Carbon County residents may call Veloy Wilder at 637-0290.


DARE presentation - is planned July 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Ascension St. Matthew's Church, 552 Homestead Boulevard, Price. The informative drug awareness program is open to all members of the community.

Catholic Mass schedule - East Carbon Good Shepherd, Saturday at 4 p.m.; Green River St. Michael the Archangel, Wednesday at 6 p.m.; Price Notre Dame de Lourdes, Saturday at 5:30 p.m., Sunday at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.; Helper St. Anthony of Padua, Saturday at 5 p.m., Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., holy days at 8:30 a.m., noon and 7 p.m., weekdays at 8:30 a.m.; Huntington Mission San Rafael, second and fourth Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

New Life Ministries - Services are Sunday, 10 a.m. Services include nursery and children's ministry. Youth meet Thursday at 7 p.m.

Seventh-day Adventist - Saturday Sabbath School is at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship at 11 a.m. Bible study and prayer are Thursday 6:30 p.m.

Price United Methodist - Adult Sunday School is at 9 a.m., followed by worship at 10:30 a.m.

Assumption Greek Orthodox - Divine liturgy is Sunday, 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.

Desert Edge Christian Chapel - Sunday schedule includes worship at 10 a.m.; Sunday School at 11 a.m. Youth meet Monday at 6 p.m. AWANA meets Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Bethel Spanish Assembly of God - Worship is at 9:45 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 11 a.m. Prayer meetings are Sunday and Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Ascension St. Matthews - meets for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., followed by services at 10:30 a.m.

Grace Baptist Church - Schedule includes Sunday School, 10 a.m.; morning service, 11 a.m.; and afternoon service, 6 p.m. Wednesday is Bible study at 6:30 p.m.

Price Chapel - Sunday schedule includes worship services at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.; all ages Sunday school 11 a.m.; kids church at 9:30 a.m.; junior high youth ministries, 6 p.m. Senior high youth ministries are Monday, 7 p.m. Women's Bible study is Wednesday, noon, and Thursday, noon and 7 p.m. AWANA youth groups meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Price First Baptist - Services include Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. followed by worship at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Adult Bible study is Tuesday at 10 a.m. Wednesday meeting and Bible study are at 7 p.m.

Wellington First Baptist - Sunday services are Sunday School, 9:45 a.m.; worship, 11 a.m.; discipleship; 5 p.m. Wednesday includes prayer, youth Bible study and fellowship at 7 p.m.

Liberty Faith Fellowship - Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m., followed by service, 10:45 a.m. Youth meet Tuesday at 6 p.m., followed by 7 p.m. service.

Trinity Christian Center - Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m., followed by services at 10:50 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday includes prayer at 10 a.m. and Bible study at 7 p.m.

Church of God of Prophecy - Sunday services include Sunday School, 10 a.m.; worship, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Bible study is Tuesday, 7 p.m. and prayer meeting is Friday at 7 p.m.

Freedom Christian Fellowship - Sunday services include Bible study for all ages, 9:45 a.m.; worship, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday includes mission kids, 5 p.m.; prayer meeting, 6:30 p.m.

East Carbon Community Church - Sunday schedule includes prayer meeting, 9 a.m.; Sunday School, 10 a.m.; and worship, 11 a.m. Youth group meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the church.

Carbon-Emery Church of Christ - Sunday includes classes, 10 a.m.; and worship at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday classes are at 7 p.m.
