CEU men's basketball coach Brian Zollinger will not be returning to coach the Golden Eagles this next season. CEU Athletic Director Dave Paur announced that Zollinger has taken a head coaching job at Seward County Community College located in Liberal Kans.

Zollinger played basketball while attending college there and also spend some time as an assistant coach for the team. Paur remarked that it would be a great opportunity for him to return to a place he calls home. "They have more resources for him to work with and he did a good job through some tough times for us. We wish him well."

The nationwide search for a new coach began on Thursday, April 25 and runs for 10 days. The college had already received over 60 applications by the time the position had been open for eight hours. "Its always that way at the junior college level," added Paur, "We will have over 100 applicants to choose from before we close the search."
