Molly rests on some cool snow after retrieving a ball in a parking lot in the canyons for a few minutes. The sun was very warm at 7500 feet on Saturday and the snow is melting fast. The local area only has slightly more than 50 percent of normal snow pack for the current time of year. Even a wet spring will not make up for the snow that never came. Is it the return of the drought that spanned seven years from 1998 to 2005? Only time will tell.
