As the game started, the Dinos struggled to get a shot to fall in. Tooele started the fun with a three. Megan Garvin answered with a three of her own. As the Buffalos edged ahead by boxing out the Dinos from getting in the paint. The Dinos responded by hitting five threes before the quarter was over to take a 15-10 lead.
Defense took over for both teams in the second, but the Dinos never gave up the lead. Handing on by four they headed to the locker room to recharge for the final push.
In the second half of play, the defense for the Dinos was stifling. But they were able to force Tooele to spread out their D so the Dinos could score with some good inside shots. Two more threes from Garvin, kept the Bear defense out of sync.

Coach Carlson was ecstatic with the win. It was a total team effort. The girls played one of the most solid games of the season. The team that is lacking any seniors and being guided by a first year coach, was not expected to produce much. But they have proven everyone wrong and had a season that has left nothing on the floor.
They now head to Dixie College for the next round. The Dinos will face Canyonview on Thursday night. Tip off time for that game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
