East Carbon City Police Chief Sammy Leonard details the features of the city's new Hummer H3 police cruiser. The vehicles were purchased with Permanent Community Impact Board and United States Department of Agriculture grant monies. The funds were allocated specifically for public safety expenditure. According to Leonard the H3's were purchased because of their off-road capabilities and a price comparable to other 4x4's purchased by the city in the past.
