Law enforcement and emergency personnel surround a sports utility vehicle damaged in a Dec. 22 collision with a semi truck on U.S. Highway 6 in east Wellington. The SUV, with two female occupants from Wellington, was traveling east on U.S. 6 when the driver reportedly crossed the center line and collided with a construction truck. Utah Highway Patrol personnel reported that the SUV driver was trapped inside the vehicle and emergency responders were forced to extricate her. Though the two occupants traveling in the SUV were apparently not wearing safety belts, they reportedly suffered only minor injuries in the accident and were released from the hospital later that day.
