Frank Whipple, friends and family admire his 361 point (unofficial) bull elk. The 6-by-6 bull weighs approximately 800 pounds and was taken on Dec. 7 on the south end of Horn Mountain. "It took a village of help to get the animal home," said the 78-year-young Whipple. The hunter added that he waited 11 years and selected the late hunt to draw out. "The point system does work," concluded Whipple.
