Many consumers try to stretch shopping dollars by waiting for last minute bargains

According to a study by the National Retail Federation, the average American couple will spend $1,476 on holiday gifts, food and decor. Many consumers try to stretch holiday dollars by waiting for last minute bargains. In fact, current statistics indicate that Dec. 24 is one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
