Residents of Helper joined with members of surrounding communities at the lights-on ceremony on Main Street last Friday. Carollers from Sally Mauro Elementary led the way from the Rio Theater to the Senior Citizens' Park, where Mayor Mike Dalpiaz announced that Helper was again named by Gov. Jon Huntsman as "Utah's Christmastown." From the park, where holiday lights were officially turned on for the season, festivities continued to the city auditorium, where Santa Clause arrived on a fire engine.
