The canyon roads were nasty on Monday as a storm moved in from the northwest. Officials caution drivers that their summer and fall speeds will get them in trouble if they continue on roads as if they are on dry pavement. As the storm subsides later in the week, the snow that is now on those roads will melt and turn to black ice in shaded areas as well as at night. Cautious travel is advised.
