Off the Bench - Carbon's Lady Dinos
Freshman Joy Malone from Mont Harmon has joined the Carbon High team this year. She plays the post position. She has played 5 or 6 years of organized basketball prior to this year. Lunch is her favorite time at school. Surrounded by seven siblings, she is second to last among five sisters and two brothers. Her role model is her mom.
Chelsea Morgan is a freshman this year. She is a point guard as well as a shooting guard for the team. Morgan feels like she has played basketball her whole life. She looks up to the Warburton girls as people she admires. A middle child, she has a brother and sister to keep her company. When she is in school she looks forward to PE class and lunch.
Medow Simpkins is a post player for Carbon. While she is only a freshman, she looks forward to many years on the team. This is only her third year of organized basketball. Even though she enjoys many classes, lunch is the time she enjoys the most. With three brothers and only one sister, it is not surprising that her big sister is her role model.
Freshman Felicia Olmos finished up a season of soccer and then joined the basketball squad. Guard is the position she is best at on the team. She likes to think she has been playing basketball all of her life. While at school PE class is her favorite. She has both a little sister and a younger brother to set an example for. Olmos admires both Meesha and Halee Rasmussen.
Brianne Vogrinec is a freshman on the Carbon High squad. With only three years of experience playing organized basketball, she is eager to learn. She plays the guard position. She played one year of Junior Jazz and two years at the junior high before making the jump to the high school team. PE is her most enjoyable class. She has plenty of competition with her brothers. Her role model is her mother.
